My Story

Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, hockey and baseball were an integral part of my life. I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to play baseball for the Trinity University Tigers in San Antonio, Texas where I had the privilege of winning a National Championship while earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following my time in Texas, I went on to play two seasons of professional baseball before deciding to pursue my passions for human performance and optimizing function. Throughout my youth, collegiate, and professional athletic careers I utilized chiropractic care, to help me perform better, reduce my susceptibility to injury, and recover faster when I did experience injury. I attended Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, Minnesota where I graduated Suma Cum Laude with my Doctorate in Chiropractic with an emphasis in Sports Performance & Rehabilitation. I continue to pursue my passions for athletics through the sport of CrossFit while continuing to give back to the hockey and baseball communities that helped shape me.

My Approach

It is common in healthcare to be overly focused on the specific site of a person’s discomfort and to direct treatment to alleviate or even suppress the symptoms coming from that area. My healthcare approach is “holistic” in nature and looks at the interconnectedness of the entire body and works to create balance and optimal function in all related systems. It is essential for me to look at the entire spine and all of the extremity joints in order to formulate a program to optimize function and increase performance. Further, I recognize, as did the founders of the chiropractic discipline, that problems with the body can stem from not just physical, but also mental and chemical stresses. Therefore, part of my “holistic” approach is to assess and do what I can to alleviate physical, mental and chemical stresses so you can perform better.
